Marcus A. Williams received a B.A. from the University of Mississippi in Political Science and History in 2010. He attended the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor, cum laude in 2014. While in law school, Marcus was elected the second black President of the Law School Student Body. Prior to that, he served as Law School Student Body Senator. He was also a member of the Moot Court Board, Trial Advocacy Board, and Dean’s Leadership Council. He was also the captain of the Black Law Students Association trial team.
He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Mississippi and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals
He is a member of the Mississippi Bar, Magnolia Bar, Jackson Young Lawyers, and Capitol Area Bar Association.
Prior to joining Blackmon & Blackmon, he worked at a defense litigation firm where he represented businesses and individuals in all aspects of litigation.
Attorney Williams practice areas include personal injury, premises liability, business defense litigation, municipal law, governmental entities and small businesses.
